Harvest Sunday

Learning new skills to see isolated people physically and spiritually transformed in Christ's name

We are celebrating Harvest this Sunday. Please join us by doing one or more of the following:

  • Join us at church for a family all age harvest service – we are limited to 6 families and abut 10 others, so please let me know if you would like to come. It would be great to be full. If not we will be live streaming the service on the usual Zoom address and on Facebook. We hope we will be learning a new skill to see ‘isolated people physically and spiritually transformed in Christ’s name’
  • Donate to our Harvest gift day appeal for MAF whose vision is to see ‘isolated people physically and spiritually transformed in Christ’s name’. See message below from Nick.
  • Learn to cook a meal (if you can already cook choose a new recipe) and give it to a neighbour/friend/someone in need and include a note with a link to this video clip or an online service or a Christian track or... Be creative with your ideas. A full romantic meal for a couple… a family fun meal… a Zoom meal with someone on their own (with you eating the same meal with them), an airplane meal for MAF… a Kenyan meal for Nasio… (do take photos and send to me!)

So get creative, learn a new skill and see if we can transform isolated people’s lives in the name of Jesus. And let me know if you want to join us at church on Sunday.

And now…

Message from Nick about Harvest appeal

This Sunday will be our Harvest gift day with proceeds going to Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF). They are an organisation that have served the church in some of the most remote parts of low income countries for over 75 years.

Rachel has kindly put together a guide on the different ways you can make a contribution, which will be particularly useful for those of you who are not coming to the church building at the present time. Do get in touch if you have not received this. We will maintain the opportunity to give throughout the month of October so if you are not around this week you can still make a contribution. You can always give online, too, just drop us an email so we know you want the gift to go to this appeal.
